Partners

Our driving motivation is to provide the learning context to enable students and participants to listen and respond differently in the pursuit of True Justice.  We connect Traditional Owners, Educators, Interpreters, Academics and Lawyers in an-Country and immersive experience focused on law.

We believe by connecting in this way we have the potential to bring about real and systemic change.

We can only do this if we transform the education and ongoing learning of law.

In our view, learning about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander law and justice issues requires, as a minimum, the context of doing so on Country and as part of an immersive experience.

We also know many people who study or work in law are connected to different extents to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and/or issues.  Even if this connection is in a small way, we consider the context that these courses provide as essential learning.

To realise our vision for True Justice, our emphasis is the partnership approach between the host partners and other partners associated with law.  This includes law schools/colleges, law firms and employers, legal institutions and bodies, and related partners such as policy.

We invite you to consider how potential partners can support their people to be a student or participant in our courses.  To find out more, visit our become a partner page.

Initiative Partners

Initiative partners commit to courses each year for 2-3 years. As we develop and implement the exemplar course we are building capacity across the course design and facilitation roles to run multiple courses in Central Australia and the Top End of the Northern Territory on an ongoing basis.

Exemplar Course and Development Partner

The exemplar course is made possible with the support of, and in partnership with, the Australian National University College of Law. This support has also enabled the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leadership within the Host Partners to co-design the course with Traditional Owners across the locations we will visit. We are appreciative of this support and direction to enable us to realise the intent of transforming the education and learning of law.
